October 14, 2012 An interesting weekend redoing this site. I've also been working on a T-shirt with the fabric that I got from Spoonflower . I'll put up some more designs over the coming weeks.
•This was a nice little exercise. The code rules, though I prefer the GUI interface.

October 15, 2012 Did more tweaking on the site.

November 27, 2012 Wow, has that much time really passed since the last note? There have been a lot of distractions. Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. We had new windows installed (physical windows, not the operating system). The holidays. The fraud thang, we had one of out accounts wiped out. (I'm still miffed that the watch dog didn't catch this unusual transaction, the theives bought more postage than I'll use in a life time). The trip to Jasper for the class reunion. The birthday… I've gotten to where saying the age doesn't bother me for the most part. The thing about the age that bothers me is age discrimination. So, with that in mind, I'm not going to talk about it. There have been other distractions as well. Some of them have complimented the graphic design work. Play online game while I'm uploading files to Greeting Card Universe . But the game seems to be more of a distraction that a mild deversion to let graphic design thoughts perculate into solutions for the kind of graphics I want to create. I have a new line of Monogram Cards up, with a marbled background. I had intended to do a few color variations, however, I learned about the three variations on a theme rule, and was told that allowing the blue versions to exceed three variations. I couldn't decide, so I nixed them all the blue cards in for approval.

I'm working on a new line of greeting cards. Birthday and age specific. Initially, I said I wouldn't do age specific cards. However, something was said to me that came across the wrong way. Because of this, I feel I must bend in order to show that I'm more successful than what appears to certain people. I've dealt with insecurities for a long time. It's time to put that to an end. I might have said too much.

February 15, 2013 So much has been happening. The next incarnation of this site is being planned. And the notes page is probably going to be nixed, haven't totally made up my mind yet. I started the CreativeHwy Road Trip Blog. I've been creating greeting cards, textures, and experimental graphics. The experimentals fall into the category of copy evident design. The copy evident design is coming along nicely, so many ideas, and so little time to experiment (it seems).

For anyone viewing this site on an iOS device, I finally found the tidbit of code to make the header go all the way across the top of the page. Removing the header for the new website was an option, and still is, I suppose.

It may be a little while before the new version of the site goes up. I am going to look at the static options between the pages and try to make them less static. I've also come to the conclusion that I need to set time aside every weekend to practice HTML, along with Print Production techniques. I like my job, it's outside the design realm, and I feel it's important to practice the endangered skills, in the event a job comes along to lure me back into the design realm. Want to help?
